Televisit

First time televisit? Please refer to the following before starting. You will need the following.

The protocol is encrypted for HIPAA compliance. By starting the remote office visit you provide verbal consent to participate using the confidential video link.

For confidentiality purposes, please disclose who (besides the patient) is present during the visit.

First time user should be available by phone for us to contact shortly before the scheduled televisit. Those who have previously used this service may get started at the scheduled time.

Please note when a televisit is not scheduled, office staff might not be available to respond, including for emergencies!

Checklist

  • Wifi is recommended, but mobile data can be satisfactory.
  • If slow speed results in jerky video, the doctor’s video can be disabled.
  • If no sound, try to mute and then unmute to kickstart the audio.
  • Reminder: desktop and laptop users should already have installed the latest version of Chrome or Firefox. Safari and other browsers appear to work sometimes but are not officially supported.
  • Reminder: mobile users should already have installed the iPhone 3CX Webmeeting App or the Android 3CX Webmeeting App.

After selecting the televisit link, you will see the following screen.

Then simply type the patient name into the Guest box. There is no user ID, password, or other hassle, but please make sure the patient name is similar to how it would be listed in our chart. If you are testing, use “Test” as the name.

Make sure to verify use of the video camera and microphone. That’s it! Once in the “virtual waiting room” screen please wait for the office to respond to your connect request.
